PJpupp: Once again, our team has been so busy we haven’t been able to convince our mom to type our blog for us.
Gigi: That’s true.
Rickie Roo: We went to a paw-tay! At a hotel and we got TREATS.
PJpupp: Oh yes, Roo, we went to the Hotel Maya in Long Beach for the i Love Dogs, Inc./Hotel Maya TweetUp/MeetUp.
Rickie Roo: it was fun.
Gigi: We saw our friend Irie there. Bogey the Tibetan Spaniel fell in love with her.
Rickie Roo: He was so funny! Irie was nice to him, but I think she might already have a boyfriend. Or she doesn’t like boys as fluffy as our Bogey.
PJpupp: Bogey’s human mommy was jealous that he was at a party and she wasn’t, so she came to the party too,
and brought Bogey’s sister, Lacey Jane.
Gigi: At least it didn’t rain on our outdoor party. I’m so happy about that.
Rickie Roo: Yeah — it’s been raining here in Los Angeles, and we have had to go to dog shows in yucky weather.
PJpupp: So far Roo-ster, you haven’t had to run in too much rain. Your sister Gigi has had to compete lots of times in the rain. Once she even ran in HAIL!
Gigi: It was SO cold!
Rickie Roo: Mommy has been helping all the dog clubs with their raffles. Two weeks ago it was th
e Papillion club, then last week she did four days of raffles for the Belgian Tervs.
PJpupp: Don’t forget that Gigi is the spokesdog for the Pet Postcard Project and is earning 32 TONS (64,000 lbs) of Rachael Ray Nutrish dog food for the spcaLA and for the Sabbath Memorial Dog Rescue. She’s asking all of her friends to send in 4×6 postcards decorated with doggie photos and either advice, confessions, wishes or thoughts from the dogs featured on them. If 500 of those cards get sent in during March she will earn the food for the shelters.
Rickie Roo: Wow! Gigi is famous.
PJpupp: Yes, she is. She is such a good girl.
Rickie Roo: I wanna be famous.
PJpupp: Maybe one day you will be… you never know. You might one day be on the cover of a magazine.
Rickie Roo: Hey we ARE in a magazine… you, me, Gigi and Perry and Mushu Hu too. Oh and Ivy, DJ and
Monkey! We are in Fido Friendly Magazine and we all look GOOD! I get to wear diamonds, and you and Gigi are sitting with our friend Eric from i Love Dogs, Inc. and TJ.LA!
Gigi: We like Eric. He gives us cookies.
PJpupp: Everyone at i Love Dogs gives you cookies Gigi.
Gigi: Yeah! Why do you think I want to go there so often?
Rickie Roo: Gigi’s in another magazine. She’s in the April issue of DOG FANCY on page two. I’m so jealous!!
PJpupp: Don’t be jealous Roo, that’s not very becoming. One day you will be just as famous. And when you are, she will be so proud of you.
Rickie Roo: You think so?
PJpupp: I know so.
Gigi: I felt so sorry for you at the dog show this weekend Rickie Roo. Right when it was your turn to run with Mei the sky KABOOMED and scared everyone. Then it rained so hard and you were out there in the wet rain! All you did was twitch your head to get the rain out of your eyes. Luckily, the judge waited a few minutes and it was raining a lot less when it was time for you to run on the course. You did great, and didn’t even mind the mud puddles.
Rickie Roo: I noticed that you go around the puddles little G. I think it’s much faster to just run through them.
PJpupp: Mommy does too, Roo. But Gigi sometimes thinks she’s sugar and might melt if she steps in a puddle. We have to try hard to convince her that she can survive a bit of mud now and then.
Rickie Roo: Chili Dog earned his first AKC Qs this weekend too!
Gigi: He was so cute. He was cold, but he ran as fast as he could.
PJpupp: What else have we done lately?
Rickie Roo: I don’t remember.
Gigi: Me neither.
PJpupp: Well then, I guess we are done for now. If you think of more to say, we can put it in the next blog.
Gigi: OK.
Rickie Roo: Sure. I’m ready for a nap anyway.
