“Twilight” Star Rescues a Homeless Pooch

Kellan Lutz Kola Bonnie Hunt ShowPawrops to Kellan Lutz, who plays scary vampire Emmet Cullen in the “Twilight” movies. Kellan is no monster in real life – in fact, he’s a dog-rescuing good guy! Just recently Kellan adopted a l’il Chihuahua he found outside his house.

“He just lay on the street and acted dead and all these cars drove around him,” Kellan told Usmagazine.com. Ay, Chihuahua!

But the pawesome Kellan came to the teeny-tiny pooch’s rescue. As fate would have it, Kellan had been looking for a buddy for another homeless pooch he’d already adopted, named Kola (the pooch in these pictures).

Kellan said his roomie named the lucky Chihuahua “Kevin.” But then the poor pup got sick from canine parvovirus (Parvo), a terrible but treatable disease that messes up the digestive systems in us pooches.

“We just had him checked out and I’m gonna adopt him,” he said. “He’s a sweetheart but we just found out he’s been sick the last couple of days. He has Parvo, which is an extremely deadly disease if it’s not treated quickly. So I was in Miami and I phoned my roommate and was like, ‘We can’t lose Kevin! He’s family now.’ So one of my friends took him to the emergency room and he’s doing better now, so that’s great.”Kellan-Lutz-and-his-dog-Kola-twilight

Yay! It can be ruff going to adopt a sick dog, so kudos to Kellan!

To help Kevin get better and keep him staying healthy, I hope Kellan gives him my TJ’s Vampire Bites. Oops! My bad…BOL, I mean TJ’s Health Bites. They’ll boost the pup’s immune system so that although he won’t have an everlasting life like the vampire his human plays, he will have a long, happily ever after playing with Kellan and Kola!
